Workshop Series

Each month, the Urban Farm Church offers a different learning experience in a workshop setting. These 1.5-hour workshops are FREE and open to the public. All workshops are held from 6:00-7:30pm at 3901 Maize Rd, Columbus. Light refreshments will be served.

August 16: Garden Walk

Take a walk through the Farm with Tim McDermott from OSU Extension, learning about topics like drip irrigation, no-dig farming, crop rotation, and soil health.

October 18: Seed Saving

Meet with Sean McKay, the Growing to Green Coordinator at Franklin Park Conservatory, to learn how you can save money next year by saving seeds this year!

December 13: Holiday Cooking

Love the holidays but want to make healthier foods for your family gatherings? Join OSU Extension Educator Jenny Lobb to find out how!

September 20: Canning

Learn about the basics of canning fruits & veggies, along with tips and tricks from Jenny Lobb, a Family & Consumer Sciences Educator with OSU Extension.

November 15: Composting 101

Ever thought about composting your food waste but didn't know how to get started? OSU Extension Educator Tim McDermott will explain the basics of composting.

January 17: Mushroom Logs

A Farm favorite! Urban Farm Church Farm & Education Developer Taylor Green will show you and help you make your own mushroom log!
